Another BOY!

We are thrilled with the news that we are having another boy!  I guess the Chinese fortune cookie and the sonogram tech know a thing or two about babies! :)

He looks healthy and smart:  big brain and all his parts are in the right place. ;) He was even a little sleepy -- we saw him yawn and stretch!  (No thumb sucking...sorry, Aunt Holly.)

When I broke the news to Reid that he was having a brother, his response was, "See-sor."   Hmm.  I guess we’ll have four and a half months to get him excited about it!  Hopefully he'll soon realize that having a little brother to play with will be big fun.

We thank you all for your best wishes and prayers. We are a happy little family!

Newbaby – Pink or Blue?

We have our 20 week ultrasound on Thursday.  Any guesses on if newbaby is “pink or blue”? 

When we ask Reid, if he wants a brother or a sister, he usually says, “see-sor!”  And if we ask him if he wants a boy or a girl, he usually says, “boy!”  He’s not much help. ;-)

Full disclosure:  our sonogram technician took a guess at our 12 week appointment that we have another boy on the way.  (There was no “proof,” but when Jer asked her about her accuracy rating, she seemed pretty confident in her predictions!)  A few days later, I was eating Chinese food with friends, this was on the back of my fortune cookie: Could the technician prediction and the Chinese fortune be right?  Is newbaby a boy?  What is your guess?  :)

Impromptu Splash Date with Momma

Reid and I were downtown recently and came across the Liz Carpenter Fountain near Zilker Park.  It was a HOT day in Austin (surprise!)…And even though he didn’t have a swimsuit or a swim diaper……I couldn’t resist letting him play in the water!  He LOVED it!  And I loved watching him run around and play!  He was asleep before we left the parking lot.
